When adding facets to a Category page (see Add Facets to Category Pages in the Mozu docs), the following errors can occur:
The category contains another facet using the same field.
The same facet exists in a parent category, and the chosen facet cannot override it for one of the following reasons:
- The facet is not hidden.
- The facet is not a range query type.
- The same facet in the parent category is not a range query type.
A parent category facet should only be overridden to:
- hide the facet in the child category
- change the ranges (bands) in the child category (facet must be a RangeQuery type)
The facet is set to hidden, but there is no equivalent facet in a parent category to hide.
The facet is saved as hidden, but the overridden facet no longer exists. This error can be resolved by deleting the facet.
The same facet exists on this field in a parent category, but the Facet Type does not match.
The same facet exists on this field in a child category, but the Facet Type does not match.
The saved overridden facet does not match the actual facet it is overriding. It will be automatically corrected when updating.
